July 22: Get locked in the library

Children entering grades 6-12 can stay in the library after hours, locked in until 8 p.m. Kids can play games, try the virtual reality headset, make crafts and just hang out with friends. July 22: Listen to live music

Redemption Square hosts its Friday night market and summer concert series. The week's live entertainment starts with a children’s performer for an hour followed by a performance by the High Island Trio. Guests can sit on the lawn and watch the live entertainment or explore the market. The market will offer food, beverages, artisan goods, games and activities, including face painting for children. 6 p.m. Free (admission). July 22: Bring a buddy to the waterpark

Big Rivers Waterpark will host its first buddy day of the season, during which all season pass holders are allowed to bring one friend to the park for free. July 23: Watch a movie on the lawn

“Godzilla vs. Kong,” an action movie, will be shown on the lawn in Redemption Square.
