Humble ISD will host a job fair for teachers, counselors and nurses April 25 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble.

The specifics

According to an April 15 news release, participants must be certified teachers, counselors, licensed nurses or must be graduating in the spring, with plans to complete certification exams as soon as possible.

District officials said they’re seeking to fill the following teaching positions:
  • Elementary early childhood-fifth grade
  • Bilingual early childhood-fifth grade
  • Special education
  • Middle school science
  • Middle school math
  • High school science
  • High school math
Officials noted middle school science and math teachers will receive an additional $2,000 stipend, while high school science and math teachers will receive an additional $3,000 stipend.

According to the release, the starting salary for teachers with no experience was $64,350 and the starting salary for counselors with no experience was $65,173 in the 2024-25 school year.


Officials said the average salary for nurses with no experience who worked for 190 days was $66,500.

Officials noted interested parties will be required to complete the district’s application for employment and complete the registration form for the job fair by 5 p.m. April 24.
