Property owners within Humble ISD's boundaries can expect a flat tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year 2026-27.

HISD trustees unanimously voted to adopt a tax rate of $1.1052 per $100 valuation for FY 2026-27 during the board’s Sept. 8 meeting. The approved tax rate is the same as that approved for FY 2025-26, and includes:
$0.7552 for the local maintenance and operations fund, or M&O
$0.3500 for debt service, bonded indebtedness and interest and sinking fund, or I&S
Average home values within the district's boundaries rose from roughly $346,000 last year to $348,300 this year, according to budget documents.
While taxes due from individual residents depend on the value of their homes, the average tax bill within the district is projected to increase by roughly $28, rising from $2,342 last year to $2,370 this year, budget documents show.
