Humble ISD officials opened a new playground at Shadow Forest Elementary in Kingwood on April 29. Officials noted the playground is coming as part of the district's $775 million bond approved by voters in 2022. The ice castle-themed playground features two slides, a pendulum play structure, a double zip line and an ice cave rope tunnel. District officials said the playground is open to the public when school is not in session.
