Following class cancelations Sept. 14 due to Tropical Storm Nicholas, New Caney ISD will resume classes Sept. 15, district officials announced Sept. 14.

New Caney ISD officials announced Sept. 13 that all district schools and facilities will be closed Sept. 14 due to anticipated inclement weather from Tropical Storm Nicholas.
“The district will provide an update about Wednesday’s school schedule as early as possible Tuesday afternoon,” the announcement reads. “Updates will be posted to the district and campus websites, and families will also receive updates through the district’s notification system.”
Officials added that all extracurricular activities and athletic events scheduled for Tuesday have been postponed, noting students will be released on Sept. 13 on a normal schedule.
