After nearly 11 years of operation, local fabric shop Cupcake Quilts is closing its doors, according to a business Facebook post.

The store announced its closure in a Facebook post on Aug. 12, thanking its “customers, friends and quilting community” for their support over the years. Sept. 30 is the last day to shop in store, according to another Facebook post.
Cupcake Quilts is holding a closing sale, offering a 40% in-store-only markdown. Furniture, fixtures and machines are not included in the sale. Discounted pricing is not reflected on the website, but customers can call the store to confirm pricing. Shipping and in-person pickup are still available.
The family-owned business sells a variety of fabrics, kits, patterns, threads, gifts and more, according to its website. It also offers classes and events, in addition to longarm quilting and machine services.
