Fall Creek, a 2,300-acre master-planned community in Humble, will host a grand opening celebration for the butterfly garden at Enclave Park on April 27.

What to expect

Hosted by the landscape committee in association with the Fall Creek Homeowners Association board, the grand opening celebration will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and include:
  • Brief guided tours of the garden by butterfly experts Elizabeth White-Olsen and Glenn Olsen of Go Native, the garden designers
  • An official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
  • A free craft project from 10 a.m.-noon
  • Children's activities, including face painting, balloon animals, sidewalk chalk and bubbles
  • Food trucks
  • Free seeds and information on how to grow a butterfly-friendly garden
Officials noted anyone dressed in a butterfly costume will receive a small award, and parking is recommended at Fall Creek Elementary School.
