The Signorelli Co. has announced several details about its 200-acre medical district coming to New Caney, according to an April 1 press release.

The company broke ground on the site in September and plans to build out a 25-acre regional hospital with more than 250 beds, a 13.7-acre medical school campus and a 21-acre medical research facility. There will also be space for medical offices.

“This is one of the first truly master-planned developments built around health care and wellness, blending services and synergies with retail and restaurants, and focusing on connectivity and walkability,” said Danny Signorelli, CEO of The Signorelli Co., in the release. “This creates a better experience for medical professionals and patients alike, providing the greatest opportunity for top caregivers, systems and institutions.”

The development is part of The Signorelli Co.’s larger Valley Ranch master-planned community, which includes the Valley Ranch Town Center at the intersection of Hwy. 59 and the Grand Parkway.

Representatives for The Signorelli Co. could not confirm a timeline for construction, any tenants of the medical offices or whether the hospital would be CHI St. Luke’s, as had been previously stated.
