BioLife Plasma Services will host an open house Aug. 30 for its new donation center in Humble, according to the organization’s website.

With over 240 donation centers across the U.S., BioLife serves hundreds of thousands of donors monthly, per the website.

The plasma donation process takes one to two hours and donors are compensated for their time. Donors must be over 18 years old, weight at least 110 pounds and be in good overall health.

As previously reported by Community Impact, construction on the new plasma donation center began in February and was expected to wrap up by Aug. 4, per a Sept. 30, 2024 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
