Originally expected to open in April, Kingwood's newest coffee shop—Fig & Table Coffee Co.—is now expected to open this summer, Event Coordinator Olivia Lang confirmed via email June 4.

As previously reported by Community Impact, Fig & Table Coffee Co. is owned by Jeremy and Jessica Eslinger and will offer a space for community members to come together over coffee and scones.

The latest

As of June 4, Lang said construction is expected to be completed in the next four to six weeks. Officials are also planning to host soft openings as the coffee shop gets closer to its grand opening.

In the meantime, Lang noted Fig & Table Coffee Co. is a weekly vendor at the Kingwood Farmers Market and is continuing to sell scones and coffee online. The business is also offering catering services.

Quote of note

"Our desire is to be fully integrated into the community," Lang wrote in the email. "We want to be at events selling, and partnering with businesses, churches and school [parent teacher associations]."

On the menu

Lang noted officials also just completed a revamp of the business's website. According to the online menu, scone flavors available range from cranberry grove and maple bacon fig to peanut butter bliss and java chip. Current beverage options include the shop's signature cold brew, sweet tea and lavender lemonade.
