Lumos will soon be opening a new 45,000-square-foot entertainment venue in New Caney's Valley Ranch Town Center, officials with the East Montgomery County Improvement District announced in a Sept. 9 news release.

What to expect

According to the release, the new entertainment venue will provide activities for all ages, appealing to families, young adults and corporate outings. Designed with state-of-the-art technology-driven attractions, the venue will offer an array of activities, including:
  • Bowling
  • Laser tag
  • Ax throwing
  • Arcade games
  • Virtual reality
Some context

Per the release, the new entertainment venue will be located within walking distance of the EMCID's future conference and events center, which was first announced in April 2022. As previously reported by Community Impact, the $108 million, 200,000-square-foot project will feature a 55,000-square-foot ballroom and exhibit hall and nearly 20,000 square feet of meeting space.

The timeline


Construction on the new entertainment venue is expected to begin this fall and take roughly nine months to complete, according to the release.
