As the effects of Feb. 15's winter storm linger into their fourth day, here are four things city of Katy residents should know Feb. 18, according to an alert issued by the city's notification system.

1. City of Katy residents are still under a boil water notice as of 10 a.m. Feb. 18. The city said crews worked overnight to improve the water system, and additional updates will be made later in the day.

2. While road conditions are improving, there are a few icy patches remaining. Additionally, the Pin Oak Bridge remains closed.

3. Texas Pride Disposal will resume garbage pickup on Feb. 18. Texas Pride will begin on Monday's route before picking up those on Tuesday's route and Wednesday's route. Trash collection will continue into the weekend until all of the city has been serviced, the release said. There is no recycling or heavy trash pickup available at this time.

4. Katy City Hall and Katy Municipal Court are closed until future notice.
