CMX Cinemas and Star Cinema Grill jointly announced a purchase agreement through which CMX will acquire all of Star Cinema Grill’s 10 existing locations, including one in the Katy area at 22125 FM 1093, Richmond, according to a March 16 news release. CMX Cinemas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cinemex, while Star Cinema Grill is an operator of upscale dine-in movie theaters, mostly in the Greater Houston area.
