Black Bear Diner opened its first restaurant in Texas March 19 at 24600 I-10, Ste. 900, Katy. The full-service, family dining restaurant chain serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as home-style comfort food in a bear-themed atmosphere. In honor of the chain’s first Texas restaurant, Black Bear Diner donated $10,000 to Katy High School for hurricane relief and repair. 281-574-7902.

Tint World Automotive Styling Centers opened a new location March 29 at 610 Katy Fort Bend Road, Ste. 220, Katy. The car customization center offers window tinting, windshield coatings, detailing as well as car audio and video services such as backup cameras. The new store will hold a grand opening May 4-5. The M.D. Anderson Cancer Center blood drive bus will collect donations May 4, and the shop will host about 50 classic cars May 5 for attendees to view. 281-392-7507.

Sweet Paris Crêperie & Cafê’s newest location at La Centerra held a soft opening April 8 and is now open. The 80-seat, 1,824-square-foot restaurant located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Ste. S120, Katy, serves sweet, savory and breakfast crepes. Breakfast crepes will be available until 3 p.m. daily. Salads, soups, paninis, waffles and milkshakes are also on the menu. 281-394-5995.

Grazia Italian Kitchen opened a third location at 22764 Westheimer Parkway, Ste. 600, Katy, in late April at the Villagio Town Center. The eatery offers traditional Italian meals and local favorites including smoked beef short ribs and risotto. 832-437-9671.

Gong Cha planned to open a new location at the end of April in Katy Asian Town, 23119 Colonial Parkway, Ste. B-9, Katy. Serving specialty drinks and coffee, the cafe is well known for bubble tea and its use of milk foam.

Showcase Gymnastics will open its second location at 1602 Avenue D, Katy, this May. The new 4,300-square-foot facility will offer preschool, school age and Xcel Bronze programs and training on a Spieth Anderson apparatus and mats.
