March 26-27: Katy Home & Garden Show

The Katy Home & Garden Show will have double the number of exhibits this year as well as gardening, outdoor living, food tasting, a pet center, a gift market and food trucks. There is also plenty of free parking.

March 25: Fit Friday at Heritage Square


Fit Friday features a different type of fitness class and instructor each month. Check-in is 15 minutes early. There will be fitness vendor booths with swag and giveaways as well as $2 after-class mimosas at Bar Louie. Sponsors will provide gift bags, and Kendra Scott will offer discounts.

March 25: Home School on the Green

The free art class is located inside La Centerra at Central Green. Children may participate even if they are not homeschooled. Children's creativity is unleashed through a curriculum centered around process art, which focuses on the learning taking place rather than the finished product. Every child brings home an art project. Weather-related changes may affect event dates.

March 25: Yoga on the Green

Yoga classes will be held every Friday at 9 a.m. Bring a mat, a towel and a bottle of water. Samantha Walker has been teaching yoga for 10 years and is a 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Walker has taught at various gyms and studios throughout Houston since 2012.

March 26: Katy Taste Fest

Katy Taste Fest, which has been on hiatus for two years, is back to show off the diversity of Katy's food community. According to a press release, Katy Taste Fest offers samples of dishes from more than 20 local restaurants. A silent auction, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and a range of family-friendly activities await attendees of all ages. The Katy Taste Fest supports several local charities that work to help vulnerable children and to reduce waste.

March 26: Aspiring Artists Micro Music Festival


This year's Aspiring Artists Micro Music Fest returns to LaCenterra. Live music will be performed by local musicians, and free Aspire Healthy Energy Drinks will be given away in Heritage Square.
