As of Dec. 4, Katy ISD reported higher-than-predicted revenues for Legacy Stadium in its first semester. The district reported $1.64 million in revenues as of Dec. 4. Another $9,250 is committed for event reservations through the end of the school year.

The 12,000-seat football stadium opened at the student activities complex in August. Before school district voters approved the more than $70 million stadium in a 2014 bond package, KISD predicted the stadium would generate more than $500,000 in annual revenue through gate revenue, concessions and marketing and advertising.

The district also said hosting playoff games and KISD soccer games would generate revenue.
