The same owner bringing The Middle Chamber restaurant to Katy is also opening Park Place at the Boardwalk Steakhouse & Grill on March 9, within walking distance to Katy’s newest mixed-use development.

Located at 25551 Kingsland Blvd., Ste. C102, Katy, along Katy Mills Parkway, Park Place at the Boardwalk will double as a restaurant downstairs and an event space that can be rented out and catered upstairs. The space can accommodate between 60-80 people, chef and owner RC Simmons said.

Park Place's menu has several appetizer and entree options for brunch; Caribbean and Latin cuisine; and dishes out of the Deep South.

Some of the Caribbean dishes include jerk chicken, oxtail and escovitch red snapper—a traditional Jamaican method of marinating the fish in a spicy sauce.

Simmons includes dishes like fajitas and cheesy mole as features of the restaurant’s Latin menu.

Some of the Deep South dishes mirror The Middle Chamber’s menu, which Simmons said should open in late March. These include smothered turkey wings, cajun zydeco pasta and ground beef hamburger steak with onion gravy.

Finally, the brunch menu is composed of dishes like breakfast potatoes, waffles, fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. 832-997-8840. www.parkplacekaty.com
