1. The grand opening of Detail Garage Katy will take place March 26 at 829 S. Mason Road, Ste. 260, Katy. Detail Garage is part of a franchised national chain with other locations in Rosenberg, Houston and Spring. Detail Garage, founded in California, specializes in selling car care products from Chemical Guys, Torq and Hex-Logic. Customers can ask questions and get recommendations about car care. 2. Coming soon to Fulshear, Dogtopia—the dog day care center offering training, long-term and overnight boarding, and spa services—is opening a location at 6434 FM 1463, Fulshear, in November. 3. Brown Sugar Cafe and Books will be opening a location in late February or early March. Located at 5330 Fry Road, Katy, the bookstore aims to give African American community members a safe space to discuss, purchase and consume Black literature, owner Raven White said. 4. Skincare by Monik will close its current shop and open a new location in Fulshear, tentatively in late May. Owner Monica Nieves said she has had a passion for beauty since she was a girl in her mother’s salon in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Now, she brings over 20 years of experience to her new shop at 6615 W. Cross Creek Bend Lane, Fulshear. 5. Luxe Medical Aesthetics had its grand opening Feb. 24, but it has been located in the Mason Park Medical Clinic at 21770 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, since fall 2021. Luxe’s medical spa offers custom facials, Botox, chemical peels, microneedling, massage therapy, laser resurfacing and hair rejuvenation treatments. 6. Fit20 USA will be bringing its franchise to Katy sometime this spring. The franchise will be located at 3750 Mason Road, Ste. 600, in Katy, according to its marketing manager.
