Why did you choose to run for City Council At-Large?
As Fulshear grows, planning for future needs is essential. My experience with local water issues highlighted infrastructure problems. I initiated a building permit moratorium petition, which gained media attention and led to meetings with residents, city staff and council members. I view this as an opportunity to further serve my community.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Fulshear?
Ensure sustainable development to align Fulshear’s growth within the capacities of its infrastructure, roads, streets, police department and other city departments.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
Overdevelopment is straining infrastructure, reducing green spaces, eroding the small town vibe and causing traffic congestion. My priorities are strategic planning and community upkeep. I will collaborate with planners and residents to preserve native vegetation and support the downtown project to attract local businesses.
What would you do to continue prioritizing parks in Fulshear?
I advocate for supporting Propositions A and B concerning the Primrose Park Phase 3 bond, which aim to expand recreational spaces and secure funding for new park areas. Additionally, I propose mandating designated park areas in new developments and initiating plans for a girls’ softball complex in Fulshear.
Why did you choose to run for City Council At-Large?
As someone who has devoted their life to a career of public service, I wanted to expand that commitment to Fulshear. As a member of City Council, I want to help the community grow responsibly, while still maintaining the historical charm of Fulshear.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Fulshear?
My goal is for Fulshear to become a city where you can live, work and play—all within the city limits—thus better supporting the residents of Fulshear. I plan to partner with businesses that have a vested interest in our community to enhance our economic development.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
The most pressing issue for local residents is mobility and infrastructure. Currently, it is a challenge to get to/from Fulshear and the surrounding areas. In order to avoid these issues going forward, we need to be proactive to enhance our infrastructure before future development.
What would you do to continue prioritizing parks in Fulshear?
One of the reasons our family has chosen Fulshear as our home is because of all the parks in our neighborhood. Since parks are an essential part of our community, it is important that resources are dedicated to building and maintaining parks that are available to the residents of Fulshear.
Why did you choose to run for City Council At-Large?
I chose to run for the Fulshear City Council At-Large position to promote community unity, enhance public and children’s safety, and support business growth. My goal is to ensure responsible development while preserving Fulshear’s charm, making it a great place for families and businesses to thrive.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Fulshear?
My top priority is enhancing public and children’s safety by improving infrastructure, emergency response and community engagement. A safe environment fosters growth, attracts businesses and strengthens families. I will also advocate for responsible development that preserves Fulshear’s charm while supporting economic opportunities for residents and local businesses.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
For me, it’s the rapid growth. Which can be a strain on infrastructure and public safety. I will advocate for strategic planning to improve roads, emergency services and community resources. By fostering smart development and strengthening safety measures, we can preserve Fulshear’s appeal while enhancing residents’ quality of life.
What would you do to continue prioritizing parks in Fulshear?
I will advocate for expanding and maintaining parks to support after school programs, community events and outdoor recreation. Investing in safe, well-equipped parks enhances residents’ quality of life, promotes youth engagement and strengthens community connections, while ensuring Fulshear remains a vibrant and family-friendly city.
Why did you choose to run for City Council At-Large?
I’m running to represent all Fulshear residents, amplifying underrepresented voices. My experience on the Fort Bend Subsidence District board, science and research committee, and water conservation committee have provided me valuable insights into council operations. I’ll work to identify the root problems, communicate the challenges and advocate for effective solutions.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Fulshear?
I am committed to keeping Fulshear safe and beautiful, proactively building infrastructure and parks, and using science to mitigate water-related issues. I will push our city, county and state to prioritize clean, reliable water for every household proactively. Water is our most valuable resource, and it will not be overlooked.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
We must find the right balance between progress and preserving what makes Fulshear special. I will prioritize public safety, support sustainable economic development and proactively build the infrastructure needed to ensure all residents have safe access to essential services and amenities that promote physical and mental well-being.
What would you do to continue prioritizing parks in Fulshear?
I will fight for preservation of green space and creation of parks so that residents of all ages and abilities can be active, engage in mindfulness and connect with friends. I envision Fulshear as a destination for youth sports competitions, bringing economic benefits and enhancing quality of life in our hometown.
Why did you choose to run for City Council At-Large?
Serving on MUD boards showed me local government’s direct impact on us. I’m running for City Council At-Large to stay involved, help shape our city’s future and improve life for my community.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Fulshear?
My top priorities are boosting Fulshear’s economic growth with diverse businesses to enhance property values and increase tax revenue, while strengthening family-friendly spaces like parks and safe, walkable areas and futureproofing with smart infrastructure and regional cooperation.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
Residents want access to local shopping and restaurants and better mobility to and through Fulshear. I’ll prioritize economic development for local commerce and support infrastructure projects to reduce congestion, ensuring Fulshear grows smart and stays accessible.
What would you do to continue prioritizing parks in Fulshear?
I’m excited for Primrose Park’s Phase 2 and 3, plus upgrades to Irene Stern and Bessie's Creek Parks. I urge residents to explore these projects and learn more about the upcoming bond election to fund them.
