A new therapy service for children with autism will open in Fulshear in the spring.

Zooming in

Essential Speech and ABA Therapy will bring clinical services tailored to children ages 18 months to 6 years old who have been diagnosed with autism, said franchisee Nhan Le, who owns the Fulshear location with his wife, Nhi Tran.

The business aims to provide a space for early intervention services to empower children and families in the growing Fulshear community, Le said.

The therapy focuses on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, therapy, which focuses on showing children how to master daily living, self-care and social skills as well as emotional development and stress management, according to its website.

Le said additional programs include:
  • Speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy
“We know that access to early and consistent therapy can transform a child’s future, and we want to bring these life-changing services closer to families who need them,” Le said.

Why it matters

Le said the decision to bring the therapy business to Fulshear stems from his personal journey of navigating his son’s autism journey, where ABA clinics were able to help his son achieve many milestones.

“Our mission is to help children with autism spectrum disorder thrive and support families walking this path like us,” he said. “Our personal experience gave us a unique perspective and deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and their families. We are proud to be part of the Fulshear community and look forward to serving as a resource and advocate for families impacted by autism.”
