Fort Bend County officials have announced warming centers as cold weather enters the region.

The Greater Houston area saw its first freeze of 2025 overnight Jan. 5-6, with temperatures expected to remain between 30 and 50 degrees throughout the week, according to a Jan. 6 update from Space City Weather.

All branches of Fort Bend County Libraries will open for warming during normal business hours, according to a Jan. 6 Facebook post from Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
