The gist
At an Oct. 28 meeting, Katy City Council approved a nearly $3.3 million contract with Conrad Construction Co. for the Pederson Road Reconstruction Project.
The project will be funded via Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County funds, according to agenda documents.
Digging in
The project will replace and widen Pederson Road from two asphalt lanes to three concrete lanes from I-10 to Hwy. 90, according to agenda documents.
Additional drainage improvements include reshaping and regrading roadside ditches, and installing underground storm sewers, per agenda documents.
Looking ahead
Construction is set to begin in January and will wrap up in July, City Engineer David Kasper said.
