As storm recovery efforts continue in the Greater Houston area, Fort Bend County officials are asking residents to share information on their damages.

What residents need to know

The Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management is calling on residents affected by the May 16 storm to share their damage via an online survey, according to a Facebook post.

The survey collects information regarding the area of damage, type of damage, causes of damage and utility status. It also allows for residents to describe damage descriptions and select damage assessments, including:
  • Debris removal
  • Emergency protective measures
  • Roads and bridges
  • Water control facilities
  • Buildings, equipment and content
  • Utilities
  • Beaches, parks and transit

Why it matters

Though the damage assessment survey is voluntary, responses help the county understand and identify local areas impacted, according to the post.
