Why are you running for election to District 149?
I intend to continue giving back to the community and the state that has given me so much, and as a veteran of the Legislature, I'm uniquely qualified to do so. If re-elected, I'll continue my career-long fight to hold health insurers accountable, bolster consumer protections and expand voting access.

I would prioritize further funding our public school system. Specifically, I would encourage giving more grants to Alief ISD schools for improving facilities, programs and increasing pay for personnel.
