At the April 22 board meeting, trustees approved budgets and construction contracts for 12 projects, which will begin construction through 2027.
However, district officials said in an email that the final contract amounts have not been set.

At the meeting, contractors were approved for the following projects. The project scope is from KISD’s bond website, while the estimated cost and timeline are from the approved contract. Officials have not confirmed the project scope correspond with their respective contract.
Mayde Creek Elementary School renovations

In addition to these projects, trustees also approved contracts for other lower-cost projects such as expanding the Mary L. Hopkins Law Enforcement Center and chiller replacements at the Miller Career & Technology Center and Taylor High School.
