The campus already provides courses from the Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing and Cullen College of Engineering. The new education offerings are meant to mirror the Katy area’s leading industries and employers, including neighboring school districts, said Jay Neal, associate vice president and chief operating officer for UH at Sugar Land and Katy.
“Looking at engineering firms that are out here, tech companies that are out here, but also the school districts and having education programs here, the hospitals, the nursing programs, it's very strategic, and it makes sense,” Neal said.
