Burger Bodega, a Houston smash burger restaurant with beginnings as a pop-up concept, will expand with a second location in Katy.
Community Impact previously reported the eatery would complete construction on its Katy brick-and-mortar eatery by April, and representatives have confirmed the newest Burger Bodega will open by mid-2025.

Abbas Dhanani created the Burger Bodega concept with New York's bodega atmosphere in mind, according to a Dec. 23 news release on the Katy opening. The new location will share the Washington Avenue flagship's design aesthetic, which brings a "New York style to Houston with a twist."

What's on the menu?
Signature menu items will include the double smash burger, "screwed" fries covered in cheese and milkshakes, according to the release.
It will also feature a New York bodega staple called a chopped cheese, which is two chopped beef patties with American cheese, onions, bell pepper, lettuce, tomatoes and bodega sauce on a hero roll.
