Portillo's, a Chicago-style street food concept, opened its restaurant in the Katy Grand development.

On the menu

The fast-casual restaurant’s menu consists of Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef and sausage sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries, salads, pasta plates, milkshakes and chocolate cake, according to the website.

The details

The Katy eatery is 7,700 square feet and offers seating for about 170 guests inside and 50 guests on the outdoor patio, according to a news release from the company.


Zooming out

The Katy and Willowbrook Mall locations are the brand’s second and third locations in the Houston area, according to the release. A grand opening for the Katy location is scheduled for Jan. 13, while the Willowbrook location will open Jan. 14.

The first Houston-area Portillo’s eatery opened in Richmond in October, Community Impact reported. Additionally, Portillo's is set to open another location this year in Stafford in The Grid mixed-use development, a spokesperson said.
