Wienerschnitzel, a quick-service hot dog chain, has again updated the opening timeline for its upcoming Katy location.

A quick note

As Community Impact previously reported, Wienerschnitzel representatives originally estimated the restaurant would open in October. They now anticipate opening in early 2025.

A marketing official for the restaurant's Houston locations, which also includes an Alief eatery, said in a Facebook message the Katy Wienerschnitzel is waiting on final inspections to be completed before officially opening.

What to expect

Wienerschnitzel is known for its hot dogs served in a steamed bun with a variety of toppings such as chili, American cheese, french fries, pickles, tomatoes, onions, sauerkraut and bacon. Customers can choose between all-beef or premium Polish sausage, according to its website.

Wienerschnitzel serves other American cuisine, including burgers, corn dogs, loaded fries, ice cream, Southern lemonade and breakfast sandwiches, per the website.
