Acclaimed Central Texas-style barbecue joint Brett's BBQ Shop is set to host a new pop-up event in October featuring creative twists on the traditional taco, according to a Sept. 18 news release.

The details

Every Tuesday in October from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. beginning Oct. 1, Brett's Taco Shop will offer a menu which fuses traditional Mexican favorites with popular Tex-Mex selections, per the release.

Reminiscent of the restaurant's popular Tex-Mex Friday menu, featured items will include tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and nachos, elote, green chile queso wings, homemade salsas and Tajin chicharrones, co-owner Jaqueline Herrera said in a statement in the release.

The on-site bar will also offer curated beverages to pair with Tex-Mex menu items, including micheladas, frozen margaritas with fresh juices and a variety of Mexican beers, according to the release.
