Utah-based franchise Chip Cookies will open its doors in Katy in October, officials said.

The gist

Chip Cookies, a cookie delivery service, aims to bring fresh treats and late-night treats to hungry patrons, franchisee Prince Dhoat said.

The franchise has over 30 locations across 11 states, including one in the Houston area at 14309 E. Sam Houston Parkway N., Ste. 330, Houston, according to its website.

For dessert

According to its website, the menu offers a set flavors each week, such as:
  • SW chip: a warm cookie stuffed with semi-sweet chocolate wafers, topped with sea salt
  • Sugar chip: a sugar cookie topped with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles
  • OG: chocolate chip cookie
  • Biscoff chip: cookie made with Biscoff cookies, white chocolate chips and stuffed with Biscoff cookie butter
Additionally, the store offers a rotating flavor, which is released weekly on Mondays. Past flavors include salted toffee pretzel, hot cocoa, and cookies and cream, according to the website.

“It’s very different—nobody does what Chip Cookies does,” Dhoat said. “I think everybody should get a taste of that.”

The store also offers cookie ice cream sandwiches and cookie cakes, he said.

What’s next?

The store will host a grand opening at a later date offering discounted menu items and giveaways, Dhoat said.

Longterm, Dhoat said he plans to bring five to 10 additional locations throughout the Houston area.
