As the Fulshear community grows, MEZZE#1 will open its second location along FM 1093, owner Riad El Khaliabi said. The original location opened in November 2022 at 1205 Grand Central Parkway, Ste. 100, Conroe, Community Impact reported.
“Fulshear ... is growing—they started making the toll road near [the new] restaurant, building a lot of houses so the demographic is a good location for the concept,” El Khaliabi said.
El Khaliabi hails from Syria, although his restaurant roots stem from Russia, where he opened his first restaurant before moving to the U.S., he said.
On the menu
The restaurant’s name mezze references small dishes or appetizers in the Middle East, while #1 refers to the restaurant's desire to ensure customer service is top notch with quality ingredients, El Khaliabi said.
The menu highlights numerous soups and salads, cold and hot mezzes, sandwiches and plates, including grill plates, according to its website. Customers can also sip on the restaurant’s expansive bar menu, which includes a variety of wines, cocktails and drink flights.

“We don’t just sell food—we have the whole experience from the decorations, from the music [and] of course the delicious authentics food,” El Khaliabi said. “All this will make people feel like they traveled overseas without leaving their hometown.”
