Twins Tavern Katy, a locally and family-owned bar, is set to open at the Midway Shopping Center in Katy this summer, owner Michael Hall said.

Hall said the business will be an "Irish pub with a Texas twist," something he said is missing within the Katy community.

"It's going to be like a neighborhood 'Cheers,'" Hall said.

The small venue will offer live music, Guinness beer on draft, and a large selection of wines, bourbons and specialty drinks.


Twins Tavern Katy will also have a limited food menu that highlights an Irish and Texas fusion—with entrees such as a shepherd's pie with barbecued meat, potato dishes, pizzas and other shareable plates.

What to expect

Hall said Twins Tavern Katy will provide a "classy but comfortable" atmosphere, with dart boards and a pool table. He said he places an emphasis on connecting the local community with this space.

"I love Katy," Hall said. "I love local, and I want to embrace the community as much as possible."
