This is the third Texas location for the brand, which specializes in flame-grilled, African Bird Eye Chili pepper-spiced chicken. The menu includes loaded macaroni and cheese bowls, chicken thigh skewers, whole chicken paired with fries, and sandwiches and wraps.

The features

The new Nando's in Cinco Ranch seats 70 guests, and is decorated in a "kaleidoscope of color and texture," according to a Feb. 6 news release from the eatery. The main dining room walls are hand-painted in a black-and-white pattern, and the ceiling is a tapestry of handwoven disk light shades by Ashanti Design in South Africa.

The restaurant also showcases small-scale South African art pieces from Nando's original collection of contemporary art—which is the largest on display in the world in partnership with Creative Block, per the release.

Nando's CEO John Fisher said in a statement that launching the third location in Katy marks a significant milestone for the company.

"We are thrilled to not only introduce our renowned flame-grilled peri-peri dishes but also to weave ourselves into the vibrant fabric of the Cinco Ranch community,” Fisher said.
