The founder of Doneraki, a family-owned Mexican restaurant that has operated at Houston’s Gulfgate Mall for 50 years, will memorialize the eatery's golden anniversary at its new Katy outpost on Nov. 29.

The birthday event will feature free appetizers, live music and entertainment for attendees from 5-10 p.m. at Doneraki’s new Fuego y Mar Mexican Grill, located at 24205 Katy Freeway.

On the menu

Doneraki’s cuisine includes seasoned and grilled proteins and vegetables, such as a ribeye and shrimp combo served with guacamole, pico salsa, rice and beans. Its menu is composed of tacos; chimichangas; burritos; nachos; and other Tex-Mex-style entrees, sides and desserts.
