Katy students will soon have another resource to help master their skills in math and reading.

What parents need to know

Gideon Math & Reading Center aims to provide children age 4 and up with a step-by-step curriculum tailored to their abilities. The program includes in-person center visits twice a week with homework completely daily to help refine skills, according to its website.

Ahead of signing up for classes, students can partake in a free placement evaluation.

“We know Katy has a lot of families with an academic focus as many are drawn to the area for its strong school system,” Gideon CEO Stephanie Coppedge said in an email. “We are here to help students achieve all their academic goals and make school easy along the way.”
