The Katy Gardens, a new coworking space and event center, opened in Katy.

The details

The business—owned by business owner Mark Lewis and his family—offers entrepreneurs, start-ups, nonprofits and other professionals the space to work and grow their business, Membership Relations Coordinator Caitlyn Eppes said in an email.

Lewis owns welding facility Laserweld Inc., located next door to The Katy Gardens, Principle Operations Coordinator Paige Valentine said in an email.

Amenities at The Katy Gardens include a gym with lockers and showers; conference rooms with projectors; break rooms; and various event spaces for rent, officials said.

Quote of note

The business’ staff also focuses on mentoring clients and hosting business conferences to show clients concepts that have been helpful to successful area businesses, Eppes said.

“We believe a holistic approach to the market place and a strong mentoring community is how we build lasting impact in the Katy area and beyond,” Eppes said.
