Gardening and landscaping business Cornelius Nursery opened its sixth Houston-area location in Richmond.

The 3-acre plant shop is located at The Crossing at Katy Fulshear retail center, according to a Sept. 19 news release.

Cornelius Nursery offers a selections of Texas-grown pumpkins, fresh trees and shrubs, lush indoor plants, pottery, and seasonal home decor and gifts, per the release. A grand opening will be held Oct. 4.

CEO Marce Ward said in a statement the new garden center further cements the company's roots in Greater Houston, just in time for the fall season.

“We have everything area residents need to refresh their gardens, landscaping, patios and porches through Thanksgiving and into the holidays," Ward said in the release. "We’re excited to serve this growing community.”
