Locally owned Blue Bear Veterinary Clinic opens in Katy

Blue Bear Veterinary Clinic, a locally owned business, offers care for the Katy area’s furry friends.

Owned and operated by Dr. Jiyoung Kwon, the clinic provides primary and urgent care. Primary care services include preventive care, spay and neutering, dentistry and soft tissue surgeries, Kwon said.

With the goal of creating a comfortable environment for cats, the clinic has one exam room dedicated to feline patients that features cat towers and pheromones, according to the website.

About the owner

Kwon said she has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2012, and in the Houston area specifically since 2014. She lives in the Katy area with her husband and children.

“There are so many corporate clinics here, and we are one of the few private clinics, so we can do more customized care for each patient,” she said.
