The specifics
Coloplast, a Danish-owned medical supply company, is bringing its newest distribution center to Waller County, according to a news release from the Waller County Economic Development Partnership. The company supplies medical products for men's health, female pelvic help, skin care and wound care.
The Waller County location will serve as the main U.S. distribution center and will bring 45 employment opportunities to the area, WCEDP Executive Director Vince Yokom said.
“This is another great example of our very successful spec building abatement program,” he said. “Having a strong building inventory, especially buildings that come ready with incentives, makes Waller County very competitive in attracting top companies like Coloplast.”
Some context
The facility will be the first tenant at Kingsland Ranch Logistics Park, a master-planned commercial development with facilities totaling nearly 2.1 million square feet. The park has five spec buildings, four of which are still available for lease, according to the release.
”Our aim with Kingsland Ranch Logistics Park was to build a flagship project for all stakeholders,” said Ben Newell, partner with Falcon Commercial Development, in the release. “An A+ business park setting coupled with Waller County’s open arms approach to business has attracted numerous companies to the park, including three tenants that are new to Texas.”
