First announced by officials at Katy's 2023 State of the City address in January, Slick City Action Park is now open at Katy Mills mall as of Dec. 9. Representatives with the mall first anticipated the indoor slide park would open in October.

The 56,000-square-foot venue features an assortment of slides such as the Fast Lane—which has four side-by-side racing slides—and the Big Wave—which is shaped similarly to a half pipe for big air. Other attractions at the indoor park include:
  • A multi-level playground for younger kids
  • Multi-sport air courts, and
  • A miniature go-kart racing track

Tickets to the slide park start at $25.99 for visitors ages four years and up and include 90-minute access to all slides and attractions. Junior tickets for guests under three-years-old start at $13.99 and grant access to the Junior Jungle—a collection of tubes, tunnels, obstacles and small slides—and the Freestyle Air Courts.
