Why are you running for office?
I want to represent the common sense conservative in this district and not the Austin lobbyists.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
MBA, Engineering degree USAFA, leadership and management positions, AG producer, small business
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
Secure border, property tax elimination on homesteads, stop Islamization, safe spaces and sports for women
What are the biggest challenges facing this district and how do you plan to address these issues?
Property taxes. Put [independent school district maintenance and operations] into the state budget
What projects are most important for the legislature to focus on for the future of Texas?
Stop Islamization in Texas. Get spending under control.
What do you see as the greatest challenge for Texas in the next 5 years?
Budget out of control, property taxes are a symptom.

Why are you running for office?
To provide competent and positive leadership for the citizens of House District 85. We need a state representative that is experienced but also given to sound judgement and who has a conservative vision of the role of government.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
From the oilfield, to the battlefield, to the classroom, to the boardroom, my time in planning for infrastructure and constituent work add to a proven record of community leadership. I work every day to prepare for the future and to make sure every Texan can enjoy the freedom they deserve.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
Reducing taxes, protecting production agriculture and continuing to make improvements in safe, reliable energy and water supply.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district and how do you plan to address these issues?
House District 85’s biggest challenges stem from population growth. Demands on government to provide medical and emergency services and essential infrastructure are huge problems facing our elected officials and their constituents. I will advocate for sound policy that prepares Texas to meet these challenges from a conservative, fact-based foundation.
What projects are most important for the legislature to focus on for the future of Texas?
Transportation, energy and water infrastructure, protecting production agriculture, all the while continuing to depress the actual amount of taxes the citizens have to pay so that they are secure in their homes and safe in their neighborhoods.
What do you see as the greatest challenge for Texas in the next 5 years?
With the increasing pressures to maintain the Texas economy and the forecasted growth in our population, energy and water will be the lynch pins to Texas’s success. I supported funding so Texas is prepared to maintain its place of economic leadership while maintaining the quality of life for her citizens.
