Why are you running for Waller County Precinct 4 commissioner?

I’m running to provide conservative leadership that protects taxpayers while managing growth responsibly. Waller County is growing quickly, and we need experienced leaders who ensure development and growth pay its own way, invest in smart infrastructure, support first responders and improve the county’s quality of life for current residents.

What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?

As an experienced City Council member and business leader, I have a proven track record of delivering results, balancing budgets, accountability to taxpayers, improving public safety, reducing tax rates and building and expanding roads. My conservative approach will ensure government lives within its means while managing rapid growth.

If elected, what will be your top priorities?

My priorities are straightforward: safer communities, responsible growth that pays its own way and putting taxpayers first through common-sense spending. I will champion police, improve our aging roads and infrastructure, and ensure developers pay their fair share for the growth they bring to Waller County.

What should the county's budgeting priorities be?

Budgeting should prioritize core services like public safety and infrastructure while keeping the tax rate as low as possible. Growth must pay for growth, and spending decisions should be transparent, disciplined and focused on long-term value for taxpayers—not expanding government unnecessarily.

How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth?

Rapid growth is already here and Waller County must catch up. Many roads are undersized and in poor condition. I will push to complete current infrastructure projects while planning for the future. Developers must pay their fair share for the growth they bring, rather than over-taxing existing residents.

How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?

My priority is maximizing value for residents through jobs, infrastructure and expanding the tax base to lower property taxes. I will focus on smart infrastructure investments, low taxes and ensuring economic development incentives are used strategically, with accountability, so growth benefits residents without harming public safety and quality of life.

Why are you running for Waller County Precinct 4 commissioner?

After more than 25 years serving Waller County, I want to continue that service as commissioner. My career in public safety and emergency management has given me firsthand insight into county operations, growth challenges and infrastructure needs. I believe experienced leadership matters as our precinct continues to grow.

What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?

I currently oversee Fire Marshal operations, Emergency Management, Homeland Security and grant administration. I’ve managed multimillion-dollar budgets, secured millions in grant funding and helped guide the county through five federally declared disasters. My experience allows me to step into this role prepared from day one.

If elected, what will be your top priorities?

My priorities are public safety, infrastructure and responsible growth. That means improving roads and drainage, strengthening emergency preparedness and ensuring county services keep pace with development. I will focus on practical solutions that protect residents, support first responders and responsibly manage growth in Precinct 4.
