Camron K. Miller has secured the Fulshear City Council At-Large seat—previously held by Kent Pool—in the June 7 runoff election, according to unofficial election results from Fort Bend County.

Miller led the at-large race over challenger E. Brown Otu with each receiving 739 votes and 374 votes, respectively.

Two candidates are vying to become the next Fulshear City Council At-Large representative in the June 7 runoff election.

What residents need to know


Early voting results from Fort Bend County show Camron K. Miller is leading the City Council At-Large race with 557 votes, followed by E. Brown Otu with 296 votes.

Otu and Miller were the frontrunners in the May 3 election that had six total candidates. The winner of the runoff will replace Kent Pool, who was unable to run again due to term limits.

By the numbers

According to Fort Bend County’s early voting data, Fulshear saw 848 in-person voters during the early voting period from May 27 to June 3. Additional ballots were cast by mail.


The polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line before closing will still be able to cast their ballots.

About the candidates

Otu, a project manager and DJ, said in a Q&A with Community Impact that he wants to promote community unity, enhance public and children’s safety, and support business growth. His top priorities include improving infrastructure, emergency response and community engagement.

Meanwhile, Miller, a principal geologist, said in his questionnaire he aims to represent all Fulshear residents, with a goal of amplifying underrepresented voices. His top priorities include keeping the city safe and beautiful, and mitigating water-related issues.
