Meal prices for Katy ISD students will increase next school year.

At a June 22 meeting, the Katy ISD board of trustees approved increasing student breakfast and lunch prices for the 2026-27 school year in a split 4-3 vote. Board members Cicely Taylor, Jim Davidson and Nathan Shipley cast the dissenting votes.
District officials said this is the first time breakfast prices and elementary lunch prices have increased since 2014-15. Meanwhile, secondary lunch prices have not increased since the 2016-17 school year.How we got here
