Black Rock Coffee Bar will open a Katy location at the intersection of Clay and Peek roads on July 7.
The coffee shop is known for its roasted coffees, teas, smoothies and flavorful energy drinks, per a July 5 news release.

The opening of the newest shop at 22911 Clay Road, Katy, along with the Spring location that opened June 21 and another shop opening in Willis at the end of July, will bring the total Houston-area count of the Oregon-founded coffee chain to 13 stores.

“We are really hitting our stride in Houston,” said Jeff Hernandez, co-founder and executive chairman of Black Rock Coffee Bar, in a statement. "We have some of the most hard-working, warm-hearted leaders that are driving growth and exceptional service in every corner of Houston.”

The Katy store will celebrate its grand opening by offering customers free 16 ounce drinks all day, with specials throughout the following week. www.br.coffee
