A New York-based company has become the new owner of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

What happened?

The 409,000-square-foot development, located in the Cinco Ranch master-planned community, was bought by Brixmor Property Group Inc. in July for $233 million, the company announced in a July 28 news release. The property had previously been leased by commercial real estate agency Trademark Property Company since last October.

The development, which sees over 5 million visits annually, is home to Trader Joe’s, Consuela, Lululemon and Chewy Vet Care.

"The acquisition of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch furthers our clustering strategy in a key market and broadens our tenancy profile and retailer relationships, providing a vibrant source of incremental and relevant demand, as we continue to evolve the merchandise mix across our transformed portfolio," said Mark Horgan, executive vice president and chief investment officer for Brixmor Property Group.

Community Impact reached out to representatives at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch to learn more about the acquisition and its timeline, but a response was not received before press time.
