STRONG Pilates, an Australian-based franchise, has opened its second Texas location in Katy following its San Antonio debut last fall.

In a nutshell

The pilates franchise combines cardio, resistance and strength training to provide a low-impact, high intensity workout, according to its website. The brand is known for its rowformer and bikeformer machines, which are part reformer and rower or bike.

According to its website, customers can choose from a range of 45-minute classes, including:
  • Strong loaded, which emphasizes strength
  • Strong body, a well-rounded pilates-inspired workout
  • Strong sweat, aimed at providing a physical and mental workout
  • Pilates only
  • Beginner class, an introduction to the rowformer
“It's a fitness revolution, not just another workout,” Cinco Ranch studio owners Deena Nada, Nuha Dessoukey and Mona Hussein-Zaki said in a June 13 news release. “It’s dynamic, it’s efficient, and it delivers real results. Houston, the future of fitness has arrived—and we’re here to lead it.”

Looking ahead

The franchise—founded by Michael Ramsey and Mark Armstrong—is set to open another 150 U.S. locations, per the release.

"Our Houston launch is a giant step for STRONG Pilates," Ramsey said in the release. "We’re redefining fitness, movement & wellness in the U.S. with a world-first approach, empowering communities to build strength, endurance and flexibility, transforming not just bodies, by lifestyles.”
