Texas Furniture Hut will soon close the doors of its two Houston-area locations after 23 years in business.

The details

The locally owned business sold designer and custom-made furniture including couches, dining tables and bedroom sets, according to its website. Additionally, the store also sold rugs, floor clocks and mattresses.

Looking back

Owner Amir Burghli opened the store in Humble in 2002, as Burghli had a commitment to provide residents with “luxury furniture” at affordable prices, according to its website. The business moved to a 26,000-square-foot showroom in Cypress in 2008 and opened its second location in Katy in 2015.

Quote of note

“What began as a dream grew into something far greater than I could have imagined,” Burghli said in a news release. “My family and I are proud of the lasting relationships we’ve built with our customers, and we want to thank everyone who supported us throughout the years.”
