Houston bar owner Zach Harris announced May 16 his newest concept, Heights Social, is set to open this fall at 1213 W. 20th St., Houston.

The concept will be located next door to Harris’ already established business, Drift Bar. In a May 16 press release, Harris said he wants Heights Social to be the ultimate place for social gathering in Houston.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to open another concept on 20th Street,” Harris said. “Heights Social will be a social gathering place for Houston and the surrounding areas. We want this place to be different and create something special for Houston.”

According to the release, Heights Social will offer a martini-focused cocktail menu with “old-school” martinis and an espresso martini on tap. Other cocktail items include gin cocktails on tap, craft cocktails, shots, and flavored Old Fashioned cocktails. The drink menu will also offer wine, and brunch diners will have the opportunity to order a tableside champagne service on the weekends, according to the release said.

As for the kitchen, food menu items include thin-crust pizza, charcuterie and appetizers.

The new bar will be the first design from Harris to utilize automated lighting with a signature feature that includes a 101-inch chandelier that will be mounted above a fountain in the atrium, the release said.

According to the release, Heights Social is the first of many concepts to come from Harris’ new hospitality group, Harris Hospitality.
